Here are some easy, and common tips you probably have known forever, and have forgotten or never tried. Hope you enjoy!

1
To keep your body in shape you should drink at least 8-10 glasses of water every day, eat a healthy diet full of fiber and veggies, and exercise 3 times a week for 30 minutes. Easy, and simple. Only treat yourself to "junk" food every once in awhile. The rest of the time, eat a normal HEALTHY diet. Full of lean meat, fiber, and veggies. Everything in moderation.
2
If you don't have the **perfect** skin, who cares? No one has perfect skin. There are many foolproof ways to make your skin clear and glow. I have written MANY facial mask recipes, that cost no money and can do at home which I have provided a link for in resources. HOWEVER, a very simple thing you can do for greasy skin is a clay mask. For large pores, simply mix water & dry oatmeal together in warm water. Apply to your face and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Always use a MILD face wash, with a clean PH balance. Also, for your reddening of your skin, you can simply splash cold water to your face to help lessen the redness.
3
As for the rest of your body. Always make sure to apply lotion when you get out of the shower. Chemicals in the water can actually dry your skin out. If you want a subtle glow or tan, use a self tanner lotion. Jergen's Natural Glow works wonders. You can choose a darker brand, if you would like. Always make sure to apply it right after a shower, seeing as how the hot water opens your pores and will make the tan last longer.
4
As for your hair. Always make sure to get it trimmed every 2-3 months. Try not to use too many heat based styling products, and remember to let your hair have a day off once in awhile. For damaged and dry hair, Olive Oil is a great solution. Leave some in your hair at night, rinse it out in the morning and not only will you have amazing shine, but it also helps damaged hair and prevents breakage.

How to Avoid Common Beauty Mistakes

health tipsAll women have made a beauty mistake a time or two. It all takes practice and patience to learn the tricks of the trade in the beauty world. In this article, I will list the most common beauty blunders of all time, and also find a cure for them! Oh yes, keep reading - you might just learn a thing or two! :)

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

1
*BAD MASCARA* Oh yes, this is the most common and biggest beauty blunder of all time. Wearing too much mascara is a crime that is being committed every day. Long lashes = GOOD. Clumps = BAD.

FIX: Apply 1 coat of mascara. Let that dry completely before adding another. Buy an eyelash comb or even use a safety pin (very carefully) to get out clumps in the eyelashes.
2
*EYE LINER* I'm sure you remember the saying, "Less is more." It's SO true. I cannot count the times I've seen countless women walking around with "raccoon" eyes. It's awful.

FIX: Always apply eyeliner to your UPPER lid first. Outline the very outter corner of your lower lid. Never pile it on. Never use liquid eye liner until you are *sure* you know what your doing.
3
*LIP COLOR & LINER* Okay, this one needs explaining. Have you ever seen a woman with lip liner lined on her lips and her lipstick color is COMPLETELY different? Yes, we all have. Don't that do. Stop that!

FIX: If your going to wear lip liner - make sure it isn't toooo dark or tooo light. Make sure that it is as close as possible to your lip color. If not, don't use it. As far as lip stick, make sure you use a flattering color. Too much red or too much orange can make the whitest teeth look yellow. LIP GLOSS should be applied in moderation. Too much gloss can make it look like your drooling. Just enough for a good shine.
4
*BAD BROWS* Unless you have bangs, chances are - YES, people can tell when you have over-plucked or have a brushy brow problem. Many women think that the tinier the brow, the better. Not true. Also, it's never good to look like you have third brow.

FIX: Always use a magnifying mirror when plucking. If you have no clue what your doing, go to your local beauty salon and they can wax them for 5 bucks. You can always buy brow kits - included wit stencils to make sure the arch is correct. Never, ever use a razor for your eyebrows. It will only end is disaster - I know.

Pageant Interview Tips

health tipsThe interview portion of beauty pageants can often make your break your scores. We all remember famous beauty pageant blunders where the interviewee stammered nervously and blurted out an irrelevant answer to the question on big-time televised events. While you can never tell what your question is going to be before you go on, it is important to follow the tried and true Boy Scout motto: "Be prepared." Confidence is also key.

How to Make Beauty & the Beast Costumes

The classic story of "Beauty and the Beast," particularly the animated Disney version, is a favorite source of costume ideas for children and adults. Aside from the lovely Belle and the lovable Beast, fans often dress as the villainous Gaston and other supporting characters such as Lumiere, Chip, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts and Le Fou. With such a varied cast of characters, from human to animal to anthropomorphic object, there is something for everyone. Whether attending a costume party or simply dressing up for Halloween, a homemade "Beauty and the Beast" costume is sure to make a splash. To learn how to make your own costume, complete the following instructions.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:
Sewing equipment and supplies Reference photos Patterns for chosen character Fabric and notions Stage makeup Accessories
1
Determine which character's costume you would like to make. Consider that animal or object costumes may take a great deal more work than those of Belle, Gaston or other human characters.
2
Find an appropriate pattern for the costume you have decided to make. For Belle's ball gown, use Simplicity 9902 or Butterick 4320 for a child and McCall's M3609 for an adult. For Belle's blue peasant dress, Simplicity 4139 for children can be adjusted to that look, as can any adult sundress and apron pattern. For the Beast's ball clothing, use Reconstructing History's adult patterns for an 18th century tailcoat, breeches, vest and cravat. For a child Beast, mix Rocking Horse Farm's boy-sized Regency patterns with the adult Reconstructing History coat patterns.
3
Choose the appropriate fabric colors for each part of the costume, using a reference picture of the character from the movie. Use the pattern guidelines to determine the appropriate type of fabric.
4
Following the pattern instructions, make a full test costume out of cheap muslin. This will assess any fit problems in the pattern size that is closest to your measurements. Put the muslin on several times throughout the process to test the fit. Make any alterations directly on the muslin.
5
Take the test costume apart at the seams and use the pieces as pattern pieces for your real costume fabric, particularly if you have made many adjustments to the original pattern. Remake the costume in the real fabric as neatly as possible. Before finishing hems, linings and bindings, put the costume on one last time to double-check that there have been no fitting mistakes. Finish the details.

How to be a successful Beauty Advisor

Almost anyone could walk into a major drugstore and become a beauty advisor. Becoming a successful beauty advisor takes a lot of practice and certain skill.
Quite a few people might think being a beauty advisor would be an easy job, but it's actually very demanding. Learning how to juggle the demands and meet all department goals will make you successful and well known amongst your chain of stores and might even help promote you into a higher position.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:
a genuine smile
a drive to succeed
self-esteem
understanding of colors
really supportive shoes
1
The first step to being successful is customer service. You have to provide outstanding service to every customer that comes into your department to be able to establish regular customers and build your popularity among them. If they feel you are genuine and knowledgeable about the cosmetics you are promoting, they will keep coming back to only you plus they will tell their friends about you and your name and reputation will grow. Always make the customer top priority, without them, you wouldn't have a job in the first place.
2
The next step is probably the hardest. Your store will set certain goals for you to meet with your cash register. The cosmetics cash register isn't in the front of the store were the customers are used to checking out so you have to constantly walk to the front of the store and back to your cosmetics register all day to get people to check out with you. Make sure you know your sales goal so you can hit it everyday. It's usually between 800.00 and 2000.00 dollars per day depending on the area in which your store is built. You must meet or exceed these goals or you will constantly be talked to about the importance of the goals and eventually let go of the position.
